  • The Friendship Fountain, located on Jacksonville's Southbank Riverwalk is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. This massive fountain shoots 3400 to 6500 gallons of water into the air each minute and has hundreds of multicolored lights which make for a beautiful spectacle to observe. It is one of the largest fountains in the world, and certainly worth seeing when in Jacksonville!

 

  • The Jacksonville Farmers’ Market is the oldest in Florida and draws more than 20,000 shoppers each week.
  • Outside the main branch of Jacksonville’s Public Library stands a 25-foot tall bronze owl. The owl was designed by sculptor Larry Kirkland as a tribute to Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom.

What's the Weather Like in Jacksonville? 

Jacksonville has fairly mild weather year-round, except for summers, which can get quite warm.
