Corona LGBTQ City Guide

Corona, California, is a beautiful, friendly California city located near Riverside and San Bernardino, and not far from Los Angeles. As a result, it’s a city small enough to offer a welcoming, neighborly, close-knit feel, while still providing access to all of the amenities of the bigger cities. It is also a city with a smaller, yet vibrant LGBTQ community where all can feel welcome and at home. A Look at Corona's History

Initially, in the mid to late 1800s, the area that is now Corona was a small, rural community known as South Riverside. In July of 1896, however, the citizens voted to incorporate the town into the newly developed Riverside County. When they did so, they changed the name to Corona. The town initially began as an important center of agriculture – particularly citrus fruit – and remained that way for some time. As it grew, however, it diversified, and today, it is a vibrant, thriving city with many opportunities and plenty to see and do. For so many reasons, Corona would be a great place to call home.
