With inventories of for-sale homes lower, real estate professionals are finding greater competition against their peers to score listings. How can you attract more listings in a low-inventory market? Tricia Andressen, the CEO and founder of Pro Step Marketing and owner of RealtyBiz.Coach.com, offered some of the following tips in a recent RISMedia article:
Show off neighborhoods, not just listings: Have your Web site feature neighborhoods to attract more sellers to it. (See Real Estate Agents Rebrand Themselves)
Add calls to action: Any marketing information that you send out make sure it speaks directly to sellers so that they can feel a pull to request more information or take the next step.
Make an offer: Get them to take action by offering them an incentive, like a free seller e-book of the “costly mistakes when selling and how to avoid them,” or a market report showing housing statistics for the area.
Create an opportunity to build a connection: After registering on your Web site, add them to an automated e-mail follow-up campaign that allows you to “personally build a connection with them so when they are ready to list, you are the top of mind.”
